Department store chain Nordstrom has made new leadership appointments in its merchandising and store organizations, effective immediately.
Nordstrom has tapped Fanya Chandler as president of Nordstrom stores, who has been with the company for almost 32 years. She was previously the senior VP and regional manager of Nordstrom’s business in the Southwest region.
The department store chain also appointed Gemma Lionello for the newly created role of president of Nordstrom Rack. Lionello has been serving the company for 35 years, her most recent role as senior VP and regional manager of the company’s Southwest region business.
In addition, the company has named Jamie Nordstrom as its chief merchandising officer, replacing Teri Bariquit who retired earlier this year. He has 28 years of experience and was previously the company’s chief stores officer.
All the new appointees will report directly to Pete Nordstrom, president and chief brand officer.
“We’re fortunate to have such exceptional leaders in Fanya and Gemma to help us continue to drive our Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack businesses forward, and these changes leverage their tremendous talent,” said Pete Nordstrom.
“Jamie has experience working across nearly every aspect of our business and has held broad-based leadership roles in merchandising, stores and digital over the span of his 28-year career with the company. We’re confident Jamie’s proven track record and experience will bring us even closer to our customers as he leads our merchandising organization into the future.”
