Neiman Marcus is closing its flagship store in Dallas after more than a century.

The store is set to close on March 31 as the landlord decided to terminate its occupancy after more than a decade of negotiations, Kera News reported, citing a statement from parent company Saks Global.

“This location has been a beloved institution in the community for more than a century, and we are disappointed to be losing a piece of Neiman Marcus history,” the statement read.

Neiman Marcus opened its first store at the intersection of Elm Street and North Field Street in 1907. The chain opened its flagship store at Main Street and Ervay Street a few years later.

The company filed for Chapter 11 in May 2020 but emerged from bankruptcy in September the same year.

Last July, Hudson’s Bay Co, owner of Saks Fifth Avenue, acquired Neiman Marcus for $2.65 billion, and formed a combined company called Saks Global.

The company earlier announced it was closing its Dallas offices to maintain just one central administration space in New York City.
