Levi Strauss & Co has made several leadership changes as part of a strategy to enhance its omnichannel capabilities and strengthen its brand.

The company said the adjustments aim to improve operational efficiency, streamline decision-making, and align the company’s structure with its long-term goals.

Karyn Hillman, previously chief product officer, will oversee merchandising alongside Design. She has more than 30 years of industry experience and will be responsible for Levi’s products’ overall vision and direction.

Jason Gowans has been appointed chief digital and technology officer, his responsibilities expanded to include digital and enterprise technology. His role will focus on improving data integration and enhancing digital operations.

Harmit Singh, chief financial and growth officer, will take on additional oversight of Levi’s transformation program. This includes improving structural economics, supporting profitability, and expanding the company’s shared services model.

Gianluca Flore – who joins Levi’s from Nike – will oversee licensing and planning to improve coordination between sales, inventory, and product assortment as CCO.

Bernard Bedon has been named chief human resources officer and brings nearly 30 years of HR experience. He will report to president and CEO Michelle Gass.

Additionally, COO Liz O’Neill will retire after nearly 12 years with the company. In response, Levi’s will replace the role with a new chief supply chain officer position, focusing on supply chain management, service levels, and cost structure.

“Over the past year, we’ve made bold moves to transform Levi Strauss & Co into a world-class denim lifestyle retailer, and we’re seeing the results,” said Gass.

“We believe success is built on clarity of purpose and the ability to adapt, and that’s exactly what we’re doing – aligning our structure with our strategy to drive sustainable, profitable growth.”
