Despite a cybersecurity incident last year, Krispy Kreme showed continued resilience for the fourth quarter and the full-year results ending December 29.
Fourth-quarter net revenue reached $404 million, with organic revenue growing 1.8 per cent to $400.6 million. Adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) was $45.9 million, reflecting an estimated $10 million impact from the cyber attack.
For the full year, net revenue totalled $1.67 billion, with organic revenue rising 5.0 per cent to $1.66 billion. Adjusted EBITDA for the year was $193.5 million, also impacted by an estimated $10 million due to the incident.
“Excluding the estimated cybersecurity incident impact, results were largely in line with our expectations,” said CEO Josh Charlesworth.
He said the company has implemented strategic actions to support its growth objectives, including restructuring management teams, outsourcing logistics, and re-franchising of international markets.
“I believe these changes will drive capital efficient growth as we continue our transformation into a bigger and better Krispy Kreme,” Charlesworth added.
