Kohl’s has appointed Elliott Rodgers as its COO, effective on September 9, who will report to CEO Michael J Bender, appointed last year.

As the new COO, Rodgers will oversee the retailer’s operations, including nearly 1200 stores, global supply chain and distribution centers, procurement, and loss prevention.

With a career spanning more than 20 years, Rodgers has developed extensive cross-functional leadership expertise in finance, strategy, supply chain, human resources, and technology across the financial services, retail, and technology sectors.

Rodgers was most recently COO at Foot Locker, overseeing enterprise transformation, operations strategy, customer care, procurement, supply chain, and technology.

Between 2013 and 2021, Rodgers took on various leadership responsibilities at Ulta Beauty, notably as CIO and leading the beauty brand’s supply chain operations. His earlier professional background includes a three-year tenure as a VP at Citigroup and six years at Target, where he focused on omnichannel operations and distribution.

“With more than 20 years of leadership experience in retail and large-scale operational roles, he has helped brands navigate through change, embrace innovation, and drive results through operational execution,” said Bender.

“Importantly, as he fills the role that oversees the largest portion of our associate population, Elliott thrives at bringing people together to create an inspiring work environment and a winning team mindset.”
