Luxury eyewear brand Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) has opened its first New York gallery in Manhattan’s SoHo district as it expands its global retail network.

The new gallery is located at 140 Wooster Street and was designed by French architect Jacques Garcia. The space combines Arts Décoratifs influences, featuring dark-wood interiors, mirrored facades, antique furnishings, and large-scale sculptures by French artist Quentin Garel.

According to the company, the concept draws inspiration from New York’s emergence as a modern metropolis in the late 19th century alongside the conservation movement that led to the creation of the US national parks system.

“So you have these parallel visions of urbanism and nature, progress and preservation, all under one roof and in this really interesting dialogue with each other,” said JMM founder and creative director Jérôme Mage.

The gallery will showcase Jacques Marie Mage’s limited-edition eyewear collections alongside jewelry, leather goods and other accessories.

The SoHo gallery is Jacques Marie Mage’s ninth worldwide, adding to its network of galleries across cities such as Paris, Tokyo, London, and Milan.

Founded in Los Angeles in 2014, Jacques Marie Mage is known for its small-batch luxury eyewear collections and collaborations inspired by art, culture and historical figures.
