Simon Porte Jacquemus, founder and creative director of Jacquemus, has recieved the 2024 Neiman Marcus Award for Innovation in the Field of Fashion.
Jacquemus is regarded as an influential leader with significant social currency, having captured the fashion business with a novel strategy to build his brand. He is also known for defying the status quo with unique show presentation, marketing, and merchandising strategies.
Last year, Neiman Marcus relaunched the awards program with a modern twist, incorporating two new categories – Innovation and Creative Impact – to suit the integrated retailer’s growth plan.
“As an independent designer, I was always keen on being innovative and creative in the design of my collections and also in my communication,” said Jacquemus.
“It’s always about communicating and creating experiences with our community in a unique way. Jacquemus was always supported by the American market, and especially Neiman Marcus since many years. I warmly thank the Neiman Marcus team for this great support and this award.”
Since launching his label in 2009, Jacquemus has quickly established a thriving business catering to a new generation of customers. His most recent presentation, ‘Les Sculptures,’ emphasized his view of fashion as art while maintaining his impactful off-calendar strategy, effectively piquing the interest of mega-watt celebrities and shops worldwide.
Neiman Marcus also named Daniel Roseberry, Schiaparelli’s creative director, as the winner of the award for Creative Impact in the Field of Fashion.
