Foot Locker has appointed Franklin R Bracken, the company’s current executive VP and chief commercial officer, as president, starting immediately.

Bracken will continue to report to CEO Mary Dillon. In his new role, he will assist Dillon in accelerating the Lace Up Plan to improve the omni-retail experience as well as generate long-term shareholder value.

Bracken will also continue to manage worldwide retail operations, merchandising, marketing, digital, loyalty, and real estate.

“Over his 15-year tenure, Frank has led several important initiatives across the business, including playing a critical role in the development and execution of our Lace Up Plan, building our brand partnerships, and advancing our omnichannel capabilities,” said Dillon.

“I look forward to continuing to partner with him in his new role as we execute our strategies, further our significant progress in advancing the Lace Up Plan, and create sustained value for our stakeholders.”

Bracken, who has approximately 30 years of industry experience, joined Foot Locker in 2010 and has held different leadership positions. Prior to joining Foot Locker, he worked as brand manager for Sprite/Sprite Zero at The Coca-Cola Company, and he had begun his career as a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Earlier this month, Foot Locker announced it would be revamping another 300 stores this year, following 400 store refreshes last year.
