Estee Lauder has named Stephane de La Faverie its new president, CEO, and board member, effective January. He will succeed Fabrizio Freda, who will retire after more than 16 years with the company.
La Faverie has more than 25 years of prestige beauty experience and currently serves as Estee Lauder’s executive group president, overseeing the company’s brands across its diverse portfolio, including Jo Malone London, The Ordinary, and Le Labo.
Prior to this, he managed the Estee Lauder brand, focusing on opportunities such as key products, digital marketing, data-driven strategies, new technologies, and emerging channels for growth.
La Faverie said he’s looking forward to bringing the brand to its pre-eminent position as one of the leaders in global prestige beauty.
“We are extremely focused on revitalizing our growth via groundbreaking innovation, unforgettable experiences, and cutting-edge marketing to inspire our consumers worldwide,” he concluded.
