Eyewear company EssilorLuxottica will continue to develop, produce, and globally distribute prescription frames and sunglasses under the Michael Kors brand as the two companies renew their licensing agreement.
The five-year agreement will take effect on January 1 next year with an option to extend for another five years.
The two companies started their partnership in 2015.
“With this move, EssilorLuxottica continues to strengthen its collaboration with one of the most relevant luxury groups around the world through strategic partnerships that express the essence of its unique brands,” said EssilorLuxottica chairman and CEO Francesco Milleri.
“We share EssilorLuxottica’s commitment to design, innovation and quality, and look forward to continuing our close collaboration in the years ahead,” said Michael Kors CEO Cedric Wilmotte.
