Japanese retail brand Daiso will open its first store in Florida as part of its push into the US market.
The store, which will open on February 1 at Northdale Promenade, will span 12026sqft and offer an assortment of products, including Japanese-inspired home decor, cookware, beauty products, stationery, and snacks.
“Tampa is a fantastic community, and we’ve seen growing demand for our distinctive and value-driven offerings,” said Jack Williams, chief retail operations officer for Daiso US. “We look forward to offering local customers a wide variety of items at unbeatable prices.”
The opening is part of Daiso’s broader expansion program, with additional outlets planned around the US this year.
In 2022, Daiso began to expand its store network in the US, as customers responded positively to the chain’s low-cost products in the face of rising inflation.
Daiso’s first store in the market opened in 2005, at Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, Washington.
