Harbour City shopping mall has teamed up with New York-based design studio Snarkitecture to create an interactive art installation in Hong Kong – Bounce.
Visitors to the installation are invited to roll, lift and toss hundreds of enlarged white “bouncy balls” in the outdoor stadium, a cage structure defined by a series of white steel frames. The free 20-minute sessions encourage visitors to “create their own unique playing experiences”, entering the world of bouncy balls and taking photos.
The exhibition is Snarkitecture’s first in Hong Kong. The studio has previously created a beach installation in the National Building Museum in Washington DC, Paris, Bangkok and Sydney.
The gallery is also selling the limited edition merchandise of the exhibition, which include Bounce tees, pins and bouncy balls.
