Carter’s, the company behind the Carter’s and OshKosh B’gosh children’s apparel brands, has promoted Richard Westenberger to senior EVP, CFO, and COO, effective March 1, upon the retirement of Brian Lynch as president and COO.

Westenberger has been serving as the company’s EVP and CFO since 2009. Concurrent with the new appointment, Westenberger will also take additional responsibilities concerning supply chain operations.

Lynch will remain at Carter’s as a consultant and will support the company’s planned leadership transition through February next year.

“Brian has been an exceptional leader and contributor to our growth over his long career with Carter’s. He has led many areas of our company, including product design and merchandising, our retail, wholesale and international businesses, and the development of our supply chain and operational capabilities,” said Carter’s chairman and CEO Michael D Casey.

Meanwhile, Carter’s has promoted EVP and chief merchandising officer Kendra Krugman to senior EVP, chief creative and growth officer, also effective March 1.

Both Krugman and Westenberger will report directly to Casey.
