Boot Barn Holdings has named John Hazen, who has served as interim CEO since November, as its permanent CEO, effective this week.

Hazen joined Foot Barn in 2018 as chief digital officer, bringing more than two decades of experience in the apparel and footwear sector. He previously held leadership positions at Ring, True Religion, Kellwood, Nike and Fox Racing.

The appointment follows a comprehensive executive search. According to executive chairman Peter Starrnett, the board “unanimously concluded that John is the right leader to drive Boot Barn forward”, citing his industry experience, leadership in digital innovation and strategic clarity.

“Hazen has already demonstrated strong leadership during his tenure as Interim CEO, and we are confident in his ability to execute our strategic plans and deliver long-term growth,” he said.

Earlier this year, Boot Barn reported strong financial results for its third fiscal quarter, ending December 28, with a net sales growth of 16.9 per cent year-over-year to $608.2 million.
