Kohl’s taps JD Sports exec Arianne Parisi to lead digital channel expansion

Kohl’s has named Arianne Parisi, a former executive of JD Sports, as its chief digital officer, effective July 28, as it looks to boost online engagement.

In her new role at Kohl’s, Parisi will report directly to the interim CEO, Michael Bender, and lead the digital team to achieve the fashion and lifestyle brand’s strategies on Kohl’s digital platforms, including the Kohl’s website and mobile application.

With 20 years of experience in retail, Parisi previously held leadership positions in the e-commerce departments of omnichannel brands for 13 years, including JD Sports, Finish Line, and Nordstrom.

“Arianne’s deep experience leading digital teams at omnichannel retailers will help us in our efforts to enhance our omnichannel customers’ experience, and improve, simplify, and drive the digital experience,” said Michael Bender, Kohl’s interim CEO.

Kohl’s has reported a sales decline for the first quarter in May, which an analyst attributed mainly to internal factors.
