Ace Hardware has unveiled Elevate3 Ace, a new experiential retail concept that will be implemented in new and current stores over the next five years, with a $1 billion investment.

The Elevate3 Ace, which debuted at the fall convention in Chicago, spans 13,000sqft on the convention floor and has outdoor areas and live demonstrations.

The new store model features premium brand showrooms and new assortments and features, aimed at enhancing customer experience.

“Elevate Ace is not just a new store format; it’s our vision to become famous for four things in the neighborhoods we serve; namely paint, power, backyards & barbeque, and home preservation,” said John Venhuizen, Ace Hardware president and CEO.

“We believe in the power of local, and this initiative strengthens our community ties by creating experiential spaces that are not only places to shop but also places to connect.”

The Elevate3 Ace store design will be available in a limited number of locations, with a complete rollout in new and existing stores beginning in January and continuing for the following five years.

Ace Hardware is the world’s largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative, with more than 5900 regionally owned and run stores in 60 countries.
