Employee-owned supermarket chain Publix earnings more than doubled in the third quarter of FY23 on the back of higher sales.
The company’s net earnings stood at $833 million in the three months ended September 30, surging 111.4 per cent from the same period of last year. Sales rose 7.2 per cent to $14 billion.
For the first nine months of the year, its net earnings swelled 93.4 per cent to $3.2 billion as sales rose 8.1 per cent to $42.4 billion.
Publix operates 1353 stores across Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia.
