Restaurant chain Firehouse Subs has teamed up with Dubai-based Apparel Group in a plan to open more than 100 locations across the UAE and Oman in the next 10 years.
Founded in 1994 and specializing in sandwiches, Firehouse Subs boasts more than 1200 restaurants across the US and Canada. It is a subsidiary of Restaurant Brands International, which also owns Burger King, Tim Hortons, and Popeyes.
The collaboration with Apparel Group follows the chain’s recent launch in Switzerland, the first opening outside of North America, and an agreement to open in Mexico.
David Shear, president of international at Restaurant Brands International, believes that Apparel Group, a partner operating the Tim Hortons brand in the Middle East/North Africa region since 2013, will bring “numerous advantages” to Firehouse Subs’ continued growth.
“As the region’s culinary landscape continues its dynamic evolution, we see Firehouse Subs seamlessly fitting into, and elevating, the tapestry of food experiences here,” says Neeraj Teckchandani, CEO of Apparel Group.
Apparel Group is a global fashion and lifestyle retail conglomerate with over 2025 stores and 80 brands on all platforms.
