Leonard A Lauder honored with Neiman Marcus Award for service to fashion

Neiman Marcus has named Leonard A Lauder, former chairman of The Estee Lauder Companies, as the recipient of the Neiman Marcus Award for Distinguished Service in the field of fashion.

From 1982 to 1999, Leonard Lauder served as CEO of Estee Lauder, expanding the company’s network internationally through brand and acquisition strategy, resulting in more than 20 brands in the company’s portfolio today. 

“Leonard Lauder is a singular force who forever changed the beauty industry. His stewardship led The Estee Lauder Companies to become home to some of the world’s most beloved beauty brands,” said Geoffroy van Raemdonck, CEO of Neiman Marcus Group. 

“He understands the power of relationships and his values are imbued in everything the company stands for. Along every step of the way, he has been a remarkable partner in our journey to bring the world’s most coveted brands to our customers.”

Estee Lauder operates in more than 150 territories with brands such as Clinique, Lab Series, Origins, Mac, La Mer, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Aveda, and Jo Malone London. 

In addition to his work at Estee Lauder, Leonard A Lauder co-founded the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation and supports the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
