Community Coffee has named Thomas “Tom” Corley as its next president and CEO, starting January 15, as part of a scheduled CEO succession.

Corley will succeed David Belanger, who announced his retirement last July after 12 years as CEO and a 25-year career with the company.

Corley started his career in sales at General Foods (now KraftHeinz) in Alexandria, Minnesota, where he worked for nearly 30 years and was responsible for $18 billion in revenue in his last capacity as president of sales and foodservice.

He also held many executive positions directing sales and marketing organisations since then and was most recently a board member and commercial advisor to several consumer packaged products firms.

“Tom joins us with over 30 years of Consumer Package Goods and Foodservice experience and has a proven track record of building effective teams and delivering business results,” said Matt Saurage, chairman of the board.

“I am confident that Tom will drive growth of the company, while upholding our values and ensuring world-class consumer experiences with the Community brand.”

Belanger’s retirement has been planned and he will remain with Community Coffee as an advisor and board member until June.
