Omnichannel health and wellness platform Wellful has introduced Jenny Craig as a direct-to-consumer brand that will be e-commerce first.
The Jenny Craig company entered Chapter 7 proceedings and filed for bankruptcy in May of this year, unable to repay a loan. Founded by Jenny Craig and her husband Sidney in 1983, the company was one of the world’s most well-known weight management enterprises. Now it is being reborn as an e-commerce business.
Wellful says the new platform aims to help customers lose up to 24 pounds in the first eight weeks, using an organised program that teaches healthy habits for life.
Those who purchase the Jenny Craig home-delivery plan will receive free shipping as well as complimentary Recharge Bars, a gluten-free bar designed by dietitians to suppress hunger, as part of an introductory offer.
“We have listened to previous customers, especially on social media, about what they liked most about Jenny Craig and what they were looking for in a new program,” said Brandon Adcock, CEO of Wellful.
“Given the positive response we have received from customers so far, we are confident the program will exceed their expectations for former and new customers – especially as we continue to expand our menu options.”
Jenny Craig orders are all scaled to suit ordinary household freezers and shipped in two-week increments. Individuals can visit JennyCraig.com to purchase the nationwide home-delivery plan and have it delivered to their door.
