Sporting and outdoors retailer Vista Outdoor is reviewing strategic alternatives for its business, which include a potential spinoff of its Revelyst and The Kinetic Group segments.

Revelyst is Vista’s outdoor products segment with a portfolio of brands including Fox, Bell, Giro, CamelBak, Camp Chef, Bushnell, Simms Fishing, Foresight Sports and Bushnell Golf. Meanwhile, The Kinetic Group manages shooting equipment brands such as CCI, Federal, Hevi Shot and Remington.

Aside from the possible separation, the company will also explore other options for Revelyst, including a potential sale. Czechoslovak Group (CSG) is considering acquiring Revelyst in addition to its proposed acquisition of The Kinetic Group.

The board will also engage with MNC Capital and its private equity partner regarding its proposal to acquire Vista Outdoor. The company rejected MNC’s original offer in March and is now expecting an increased proposal.

“In addition to engaging with CSG and MNC and its private equity partner, we also look forward to reviewing any other strategic alternative for Vista Outdoor that would maximize value for stockholders,” said chairman Mike Callahan.

“While we conduct this strategic review, we remain as focused as ever on delivering high-quality, innovative products for our consumers around the world,” he added.
