Hangzhou’s new N2 patisserie by YPYC architects has been featured by Dezeen for its pairing of pastel pink and white surfaces with glass bricks, enhanced its spaciousness. The tiny 40sqm venue is obscured from the street by the glass brick wall, that also serves to filter and diffuse the direct sunlight. “The project is located in a small, quiet street about 100 metres from one of the busiest streets in Hangzhou, and about 300 metres to the West Lake,” said founding partner Yan Zhang.
