Rising to the occasion: bakeries move upmarket

Bakeries and patisseries are going upmarket. Gone are the days of whacking some loaves of bread on the counter, popping some sausage rolls and custard tarts in the window and calling it a day. Now, it’s all about Insta-worthy shop fitouts, artisanal products and offering special in-store experiences.
